Alumni Memories from the 1950s

Rita (McKay) Miller - 1950
Fondest Memories: I moved to Chicago at 16 but have kept in touch with friends there all these years. My dear friend from our class is Marlene (Zullo) Higgins. I would love to hear from anyone else from our class of so many years ago.

Rosalie (Niewinski) Paulson - 1952
Fondest Memories: Being in a small school with two grades in each of the four rooms; walking the lunch baskets to the St. Angela Academy after the sisters got done eating; just having fun on the playground. You always saw father out and about.

Judy (Carlson) Buttry - 1954
Fondest Memories: Sr. Madelaine Sophie

Marie (Krueger) Spese - 1954
Fondest Memories: Sr. Mercita

Kathy (Kulig) Hornsby - 1956
Fondest Memories: Carrying the nuns' lunch basket back and forth from the Academy at lunch hour. You felt really fortunate if you were chosen for the task.

Sandra (Mettille) Ryder - 1956
Fondest Memories: Being taught by the nuns; the closeness of friends at that age

Jean Sokolinski - 1956
Fondest Memories: Singing in the choir directed by Sr. Gertrudis and piano lessons. I loved geography and history, Sr. Mercita was the teacher. St. Patrick's Day, the Halloween costume parties in Kenrick Hall with hot dogs and popcorn balls were memorable.
They were great times!!
News: I retired in 2005 and bought a house near the ocean on the Olympic Peninsula in WA. I still travel every chance I get, and enjoy photography and reading. My two children are both healthy and doing well.

Jim Limbach- 1957
Fondest Memories: A firm foundation in faith from the Holy Cross nuns
